COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Education is offering some incentive for adults who did not finish high school looking to continue their education.
On Monday, the department announced its GED incentive program which is a partnership with the department, the S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) and the S.C. Department of Education’s (SCDE) Office of Adult Education.
Officials say the program was expanded last year to provide $500 to anyone who earns their GED.
In addition, the program has expanded to provide an additional $500 to people who complete short-term occupational training through the state’s technical college system.
