Columbia, SC (WOLO ) — The Columbia – Richland Fire Department says five people are without a place to call home after a fire broke out in their Lucius Road home Thursday evening.
According to officials with the Fire Department say crews with their 1st shift reached the scene the home was showing heavy smoke and fire was coming from the front end of the house. Authorities say crews were able to knock down the fire quickly but say the flames did so much damage it left the occupants displaced.
The Columbia – Richland Fire Department continues to investigate to determine what caused the blaze.
